This is because Star Children automatically use all the Pressure they have, regardless of the planet's capacity. The Star Children (Nylli preset) don't have to worry about Pressure at all, aside from Labor, which they want to concentrate towards a single planet. Each planet level has a higher Pressure Capacity (partially dependent on population), and levels 4-5 (or 6 if you're playing ABEM) are quite an economic powerhouse.ģ. Metropolii increase the Pressure Capacity of the planet by 6, though there is a certain cost to having them.Ģ. There are three ways to ensure you have enough Pressure Capacity for your resources:ġ. Level 1 planets, in my experience, won't be capable of using all the Pressure of a level 1 resource, though this is not a trait shared by level 2 and level 3 planets, which can use up the Pressure of both the resources it's using to level up and its own native resource. Level 0 planets will only have Pressure Capacity if you build a Metropolis on them. A planet's Pressure Capacity is its ability to make use of the Pressure from the resources it's importing. Pressure Capacity is also something you need to keep an eye on. If the pressure goes away, the Media Centers will be destroyed. A resource with 3 Influence Pressure will make a planet build 3 Media Centers (in an ideal scenario - if there's not enough room, it'll be one Media Center and one building of higher level which produces 1.5 Influence while consuming 2 Pressure) to produce 3 Influence, assuming it has enough Pressure Capacity and space to construct them with.
It basically tells the civilians on your planets what they need to produce. Well, your physics background agrees with my physics background.
